So the PM finally got off is ass and realized that Monotonix exists. I bet you got tipped off because of that PitchforkMedia story that was up a couple of weeks back. You sure didn't get a heads up about them from their amazing sets at SXSW last year, since Ezra was too busy snubbing PDX bands, and going to see the same ol' boring crap to explore anything new, no matter how big the buzz was. You ignored them the last 3 times they played Portland too. I guess they just weren't promoted by the right advertiser those times, huh.
Posting this at 5pm on the night of the show is something I shouldn't be surprised about seeing how busy you must be keeping constant watch of Snoozy Stephen Malkmus' every move. Lucky for me, I quit relying on your birdcage liner for musical direction a long time ago. I hope others do the same, until the PM gets a staff with their heads out of the sand and their ears to the ground instead.

So I guess I was mistaken. Your little rag did write a tiny bit about one of the previous times Monotonix came to town. However, you still were late posting about the latest show, and this paper is still tragically out of the loop with the full music scene, even locally.
You have yet to print one thing about the passing of Steve Casmano! I guess he just didn't play in any of the "IT" bands in the PM's little world. The Flapjacks, The Jackals, Sado-Nation, The Oily-Bloodmen. These are bands that helped build the scene we have here today, and Steve played in all of them. If you knew what the fuck you're talking about you'd know this.
