Want a pair of free tickets to see the talented Matt Costa tomorrow night at Doug Fir?

Well, duh, who doesn’t?

My friends, End Hits is here for you, and we’re giving away two tickets to see the pro-skater-turned-pro-rocker. Costa is touring on his new record, Unfamiliar Faces, and judging by the video below, he can do the one-man-band thing better than Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins.

But not as good as this guy. Wait. What language was that in?

Matt Costa - “Mr. Pitiful”

To win the tickets, just post a comment below explaining why you (and no one else) deserve the tickets. Best post before tomorrow at 9am wins the tickets. Good luck.

Ok. While I definitely would LOVE to see Matt Costa, I am actually filling this out for a friend, who tried desperately to get tickets, but alas, was too late! See, he is sometimes a bit of a square, feels lost among all these indie rockers in Portland and though matt costa sometimes wears tight pants, his shiny, catchy pop rock makes my friend feel at ease...and he could use that. So give them to him!

So, I had a girl come over for dinner this evening. Nothing was supposed to happen. I had the new Matt Costa album on, and I commented on Mr. Pitiful being a weird song (especially the "hey Mr. Pit, Mr. Pit" part). Not 5 hours later, I am sitting at my computer, the victim of possibly the first female to male f*ck and run in the history of the planet. The weird part was that we made the beast with two backs twice, so I feel even more used than I would have otherwise. To make matters worse, I met her through the Portland Mercury site. And all I wanted to do is cuddle. So now, I'm sitting here with a vicious wine hangover at 1:40 in the morning perusing the Mercury, and I came across this. As it sits, I have no Matt Costa tickets, and am wishing I had withheld my "Mr. Pitiful" comments until a later date as now I will possibly (definitely) be the butt of many "girls night" jokes. If I don't get these tickets, it would only serve to cap the pitiful events of the evening.
