Yesterday the kind folks in Blue Giant (whose lineup is 100% of Viva Voice, along with one Golden Bear, Seth Lorinczi, and a former Swords Project drummer, Evan Railton) invited a few of us media types to visit their secret lair deep in NE Portland.

They wet our whistle with beer (I’m a big fan) and boiled peanuts (I’m so not a big fan), before playing a live set which previewed their loose-knit and hazy Americana sound. It was our first look at this exciting band, whose real debut comes on the 20th at their EP release at the Wonder Ballroom.
