"Starbucks is closing 600 stores. Now what will all those baristas do before band practice?"

Shazzam! You're nailin' em to the wall, Steven.

Last night Nas guested on the Colbert Report, and though I've never really took much notice of the man, a line from his performance struck me: "Make a brother wanna invest in PBS." How fucking awesome is that!?! Totally unprecedented--a rapper talking about giving money to public broadcast!? Holy shit yes. We are living in strange political times indeed!

Reminds me of a classic Simpsons quote, when Bart and Lisa are trying to decide what to do with their newfound $100.00 and Marge beats them back: "Tacos? Public broadcasting? I won't have you kids throwing your money away!"

Anyway, here's a clip of the song, and if you're into it, check out the preceding interview for the dish on Nas' feud with Papa Bear O'Reilly and his petition calling Fox News racist.

Ok, Comedy Central's video embed function is performing like a shit right now, so follow this link for the clip.
