Street Walking with Kate's Mirror

Posted by Ezra Ace Caraeff on Fri, Sep 19, 2008 at 1:35 PM

While I don't know a whole lot about local act Kate's Mirror--other than that Scott Wayne Indiana, of the "Sidewalk Horses" installation series, performs in the band--I do know that this video for "Billy Joel" fits their Lou Reed (circa New York) sound quite well.

Oh, and there is also a Chinese version of the song. How global!

Filmed in (what I assume is) New York, the video is either an ode to foot fetishes, or just a well-assembled vision of the restless on-the-go nature of the big city. Nice heels. Wait, all those street shots and not one of the "Sidewalk Horses"? For shame.
