Want to go to see Calexico and the Cave Singers this Saturday at the Crystal Ballroom? Here's your chance to win a pair of tickets to the show! All you have to do is correctly answer this very challenging Calexico-related trivia question!

From what two places did Calexico take their name?

California and Mexico!

I should win these tickets because I love this band! I bought their CD while perusing the streets of Amsterdam, a stoned youth, marveling in Americanisms while in Europe! Yes! An idiot! Now I'm a broke Portlander, unable to travel or do much beyond dumpster diving and funnelling PBR. Send me to this concert so I can relive memories of Amsterdam! Please!

California and Mexico. Though it's technically named after a town in California--but I'm a know-it-all. And that is why I should get the tickets...I know it ALL. EVERYTHING. What kind of person ought Portland present to the great band, Calexico: a simpleton nincompoop, or a mental-giant like myself? The answer is obvious. Me, an all-powerful genius.
Also, I really like Calexico, particularly that "Feast of Wire" album.

A few summers ago, I chased a bear while sopping wet. Don't ask me why... when I saw the thing, getting out of the pond and running after it was just the first thing that popped into my head. It seemed like a good idea at the time.

I think that deserves a pair of tickets, no?
