
Along with Ezra's news of what just might be the Holy Grail of '90s punk rock marriages, news today surfaced of a short reunion stint for San Diego's crucial post-emo poster boys No Knife. The band pioneered the early bridging of space-y rock with undeniable homage to the Police, mixing dance-oriented beats with off-kilter guitar manipulations and the unmistakable singe of vocalists Mitch Wilson and Ryan Ferguson (whose solo work is pretty damned amazing too...).
The band released such seminal albums as 1997's Hit Man Dreams and the classic '99 disc Fire in the City of Automatons. 2002's Riot For Romance, while interesting musically, failed to spark enough to yield another go 'round for the crew, and they disbanded in 2003. They will be reuniting to play three shows in support of Jimmy Eat World for their 10th Anniversary of Clarity tour.
