Animal Collective <3 Grouper

I still think Cary Clarke's line "waking up and not knowing where you are" is the best possible way to describe the gorgeous sounds on Grouper's Dragging a Dead Deer Up A Hill album.

Animal Collective are down too, since the band has just included a Grouper track along with their "strictly limited, rare and exclusive mix cd" that came with pre-orders of Merriweather Post Pavilion ("OMG BST ALBM EVAH!" - every music writer.). Joining Grouper on the comp are tracks from Erykah Badu, Kode 9, and—just for you music obsessives—Osamu Kitajima.

Whatever, everyone knows they were in the studio listening to nothing but Reel Big Fish, they're just afraid to admit it.
