Corin Tucker to play Reading Frenzy benefit

Mark your calendars: On March 5 at Holocene, there's going to be an all-star show to raise money for local indie press emporium Reading Frenzy, including the likes of Corin Tucker, who I don't believe has played a solo show since the end of Sleater-KinnerKinney. (Correct me if I'm wrong here; she has appeared as a guest with bands like Blue Giant, but I don't believe there has been a Corin Tucker solo show?)

THAT AIN'T ALL: Tu Fawning will also be there, along with the stellar Golden Bears, who I just can't say enough good things about. (Seriously, if you haven't heard their vinyl-only Wall to Wall album yet, stop reading this and get spinning.) The Bears' Seth Lorinczi is organizing the event.

BUT THAT AIN'T ALL: Two secret surprise special guest bands are also playing! We don't know who they are! We have no idea! Not even a clue! But we're excited!

It's actually Sleater-Kinney.
But Slytr-Kynr could be their kickass southern rock project.
