Another week, another Mercury music section to read while you search for that UFO that was spotted downtown. Scully, the truth is out there (and it's visible from a corner table at Portland City Grill).
Get bent at the mighty Slabtown Bender. We dedicate an entire page to the Bender, including a history lesson of the three-day festival, plus some highlights from this year's lineup. In fact, the only thing we left out was a map of the best "pee spots" when the Slabtown bathroom line is too long.

Speaking of pee, I think I just Tweed my pants... it's the Magic Marker Records 10th anniversary. The local label celebrates a decade of quality indie-pop (and not going out of business), with a huge show this Saturday night. I'll be there, once I change out of these wet jeans.
