The good people at Muzak—makers of, well, Muzak—filed for bankruptcy this week. What does this mean for, say, Ann Taylor LOFT shoppers? Well, from now on, your bargain hunting will no longer be aided by the reassuring sounds of Adult Contemporary. Instead, expect your cut-rate Ann Taylor experience to include an empty silence you can fill with thoughts of our economy's collapse.
