We're Going to Troutdale! (Edgefield's "2009 Concerts on the Lawn" Announced)

Posted by Ezra Ace Caraeff on Mon, Mar 16, 2009 at 12:10 PM

Pack your lawn chairs (not really) and flask (really), we're going to Troutdale:

Monqui Presents and McMenamins are excited to announce the first shows of the 2009 Concerts on the Lawn at McMenamins’ Edgefield. Death Cab For Cutie kick off the season on Friday July 17, followed by two nights with The Decemberists on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19.

(These are the first two concerts, there will be more to come. I hope Ringo comes back.)

The Death Cab show is probably most notable for their openers—the New Pornographers and Ra Ra Riot—and steep ticket price ($40 advance, $43 door). Remember when they played Meow Meow for $6?

What's that? I'm old?

Also, the Decemberists show will be their delayed local CD release and feature a pair of worthy support acts as well, Andrew Bird and Blind Pilot. Save your pennies, since that ticket is not cheap: $36 advance, $39 door.

Remember when they played the Meow Meow...
