Summertime Clothes

Posted by Andrew R Tonry on Fri, May 8, 2009 at 2:14 PM

A fitting tune for today, I think, Animal Collective's "Summertime Clothes", live on Letterman:

A beautiful thing—Animal Collective frightened and confused MILLIONS of people on national television. The tour starts soon, but I believe it is way past sold out. Get on Craigslist or something. (Also, for all those who jumped early on "My Girls" as the standout track from Merriweather Post Pavillion, I hope we call all agree, after it is been allowed to settle and swish around, that "Summertime Clothes" is the real king of beasts.)

Another beautiful thing from/happening in New York that is a bitch to miss this weekend: Bjork performing a suite of songs written for her by Dave Longstreth and the Dirty Projectors, who will ride along on the backing vocals. Sweet Jealous Jesus...
