Video The Decemberists Begin the Begin

Wednesday night at Radio City Music Hall, the Decemberists were joined onstage by (occasional Portlandler) Peter Buck of R.E.M.. Instead of busting out a karaoke session, the band performed a pretty stellar version of the opening track from Lifes Rich Pageant, "Begin the Begin." Like so much of R.E.M.'s catalog, the song sounds just as good now as it did way back in the mid-'80s.
Now it's time to dust off either the CD or cassette (I own both) of Pageant and revisit that album.
