News Be the First to Visit The Woods

Remember when we spilled the beans on SE Portland's newest venue, The Woods?

Yeah, we all had a laugh that day. Good times.

Anyway, the space is no longer just loaded with the bones of corpses—it was a funeral parlor—so they are swinging open their doors and throwing an inaugural housewarming/show/benefit/art opening on Friday, June 26th. Your sliding scale ("$20 up to $40") admission will get you plenty of music (Portland Cello Project, Weinland, The Nick Jaina Band, Loch Lomond, and Brittain Ashford), art from Jolyn Fry and Nathanial C. Prask, "old-school 50's-style finger sandwiches," and a full bar to wash down those vintage sandwiches.

Oh, speaking of new venues, Ella St. Social Club, will be opening up for their first—post-Towne Lounge—show on Saturday, June 20th. New venues for everyone!
