What the heck? While the band played a rare one-off show last year, it was announced this morning that Southern slowcore duo Azure Ray will end their break-up/hiatus and embark on their first tour in five years—which kicks off in Portland on July 10th at Mississippi Studios.

Since their split, Orenda Fink and Maria Taylor have kept very busy with various solo projects (Taylor performs under her name, while Fink has been in Art in Manila, O+S, plus she released a solo recording in '05), so the odds of witnessing a reunited Azure Ray seemed quite slim. Both myself, and Moby, are stoked about this news.
