Portugal. The Man (and WSJ) Rock the 'Roo

Posted by Ezra Ace Caraeff on Thu, Jun 18, 2009 at 8:49 AM

I know what you're thinking:
When you hear the word "Bonnaroo," and the druggy sounds of "Portugal. The Man," you immediately think of the Wall Street Journal. Same here.

It would seem that the newspaper of choice for fiscal conservatives—and the band of choice for grammatically-challenged indie rockers—came together gloriously at Bonnaroo, hence this quote from the WSJ article:

I'll never forget the set by Portugal. The Man: Nothing they've recorded prepared me for their daring as they attacked songs that suddenly seemed to bridge the gap between alternative rock and jazz fusion.

Jeez, get a room.
