The Minus 5 + Doug Fir = Anything Goes

Posted by Mark Lore on Fri, Jul 10, 2009 at 1:19 PM

Scott McCaughey has worked with damn near everyone under the sun in the "music collective" that is The Minus 5—from his longtime sidekick Peter Buck of R.E.M., to the Posies' Ken Stringfellow, plus members of Wilco, Guided By Voices and Death Cab For Cutie. Whew!

For his latest, Killingsworth, McCaughey enlisted the services of—super-awesome cred-alert—various members of the Decemberists. You'll hear Colin Meloy lend vocals to the track "Scott Walker's Fault," which you can listen to below, or just stream the entire album right here.

Might be interesting to see who drops by the Doug Fir tonight. Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing The Shee Bee Gees.
