Our love affair with PDX Pop Now! continues. Be sure to attend the festival this weekend, but remember to hydrate-hydrate-hydrate because it's going to be very hot. We don't want dehydration to kill off this town's local music scene. You might, but we don't.

Why do we keep mentioning that Kip Berman, frontman for the Pains of Being Pure at Heart, was our former intern? Because we're damn jealous, that's why. We should have chained him the radiator—like the other unpaid help—while we had the chance.
LISTEN:

The Pains of Being Pure at Heart - "This Love Is Fucking Right"

LISTEN:

Japandroids - "Young Hearts Spark Fire"

Just because you want to bash them with a copy of the The Oxford English Dictionary don't hate on Nucular Aminals, they just might this town's finest indie pop band.
LISTEN:

Nucular Aminals - "Uselessness of Hands"
