We're mere days away from a rare Menomena performance, but before we see the quartet (I consider the Fun Blame Monster to be a band member) in action, here is a peek at something from Ramona Falls, the solo project from the band's Brent Knopf.

"Russia" is a gentle song—more Mikhail Baryshnikov than Ivan Drago—consisting of a swirling lush arrangement and Knopf's unmistakably voice. His debut, Intuit will be out on Barsuk on the 18th of August. Now don't go choking on your trail mix, but yes, the band name is a shout-out to all you hiking nerds. I hope you are happy.
