Kind of a slight delay, but here are a few more photos from the incredibly fun (and sweltering) PDX Pop Now! weekend, with a sweaty finale featuring Menomena. Kudos to Anna Ottum for all of the great pics.
Now I return to the freezer from which I came.

Everyone made a big deal about the dude from Menomena with his shirt off, but check out Nelson Kempf pickin' Fleetwood while exposing himself to the cruel sun. Yeowzas.

From Anna: "Pierced Arrows—formally the Portland 80's punk band Dead Moon—turned into a big mosh fest (Danielle [Sullivan] has a gnarly leg bruise to prove it) they set the tone before starting by yelling over to the sound guy 'No reverb... I don't want none of that shit, let's just do this,' or something along those lines. I have to say I was mesmerized during the set."

From Anna: "The crowd during Strength continued on with the moshing, which didn't fit as well, but we managed to get our dance moves on any way. They played some new songs and some good hits that the crowd all went crazy for. Bailey reached out to screaming girls and guys alike throughout the show and they were kicked off at 2 am while we were all still asking for more."
