Gossip (No, Not the Band) Who is the Secret Band Performing at Rontoms on Sunday?

Everyone is all aflutter about the secret "Headliner TBA" for Sunday's free Rontoms show. It's Dave Chappelle, right? Nope, but the band that is joining Morning Teleportation and Ded Pigeons is definitely a big Portland act, one who normally plays far bigger rooms and is supposedly as cool as Kim Deal (well, that should have given it away). Get there early, since it'll be more crowded than a monkey house.

Rontoms, 600 E Burnside, Sunday August 23, 9 pm, FREE

So it's Frank Black? He played several tiny "secret" shows in the Bay Area a few weeks ago too. What's he up to?
