Just like a modern day Peel Sessions, except recorded in Illinois and broadcast online instead of the BBC, Daytrotter has been a reliable source for live-in-the-studio recordings of our favorite artists. This time up at the mic are Portland's own Dead Trees, a great, Stones-y band who have perhaps found greater success out of town than here at home. At this four-song session, they try out a couple brand new numbers, including the pace-changing "D.R.C. 1991" and the wonderful "Unfortunately for Her" which boasts an arc-ing melody that could come from a late-'60s classic UK single.

The Dead Trees - "Unfortunately for Her" (live at Daytrotter)
