There Will Be a New Menomena Album in 2010. Probably.

In a year that was already shaping up to be an exciting time for new music, things just got a little better. The glacial paced Menomena are well on their way to releasing the follow-up to their magnificent 2007 recording Friend And Foe. Drummer Danny Seim told our Cary Clarke the following...

We've got 18 songs on the table for the new record, and we're going to be spending the next two weeks finalizing the mixes and choosing somewhere between 10 and 13 of these teenage angst anthems to master and submit to the record label by January 20th.

Just reading that makes my day. Once we find out more—release date, album title, ridiculous cover art—we'll let you know.
