Songs For Haiti Gets $50,000 Match

Posted by Matt Davis on Thu, Jan 21, 2010 at 10:21 AM

I just got my ticket for tonight's Songs For Haiti event at the Aladdin Theater. There are still about 180 tickets left, according to organizer Stephen Marc Beaudoin, but they're shifting fast. Get 'em here. Or, if you can't make it to the show but still want to donate, you can do that here.

There's now added incentive to get a ticket for tonight, though. Says Beaudoin:

Thought you'd be interested to know that the Ray Hickey Foundation, a Portland area family foundation, has stepped forward with $50,000 in matching funds for "Songs for Haiti" - that means they'll match dollar for dollar all the money we raise at "Songs for Haiti" in ticket sales, merch sales, service fees, concessions, etc - up to $50,000!

This is a TREMENDOUS boost - and even more incentive for people to attend. We have tickets available still - but not many!

See you there.
