News LOUD! FREE! APTBS!

What's this? APTBS is playing a show? For FREE? Here in PDX? At THE WOODS?

Brooklyn's A Place To Bury Strangers is considered by many one of the loudest bands around (sorry, Motörhead, you've been dethroned). I can only imagine what they will do to eardrums in the tiny confines of The Woods. The band will perform on Monday, March 15th, and the show is being put on by 94/7 FM. Did I mention it's FREE? Which means it will probably fill up quickly. And it will be LOUD... I hear APTBS will attempt to become the first band to hit the Brown Note. Me? I'll be outside selling earplugs and diapers for 10 bucks.

Looks like my dyslexia got the best of me, and I flipped the days around. Yes, March 15th is a MONDAY. 94/7 didn't have much information on its site, and it appeared that the show was part of the station's Free Show Friday... which it is NOT.

D: I'm sure there will be $2 Pibbers... which is basically giving it away.

Dude, where are you seeing *any* of this?

There's nothing but a Doug Fir show on the band's MySpace.

I can't find anything on the 94/7 site. I'm guessing it's there, but that site is a mess.

How about a link to the actual show info that you're talking about?

Calm down Garbage Monster. We wouldn't lie to you (unless it's about Brad Paisley). The show is confirmed and the information was courtesy of 94.7. While there is no link, it is happening.

Oh, it's part of the station's "New Music Heaven" series. Much like the Twang's show earlier in the month.
