Typhoon - New Album, New Song, More Members Than Ever

What? Two Typhoon posts in a row? Sure, why not?

The massive collaborative pop ensemble known as Typhoon (I'm pretty sure you and I are both in the band, we just don't know it yet) is gearing up to release Hunger & Thirst on May 4th courtesy of the nice folks at Tender Loving Empire. Since May is so far away, we have a little audio preview for you in the first single, "Starting Over." While the band's sound ranges from massive arrangements that incorporate all 16-members, to quaint little numbers, "Starting Over" reminds me of the loose indie jazz chops that Karate displayed on The Bed is in the Ocean, which is definitely a good thing. Have a listen and decide for yourself.

This album is awesome, being a fan of this band for years it's great to see them put out a professionally produced album. Their music has greatly benefited from the expertise of their new producer and the technical prowess of their audio engineer.

gotta get the facts straight. typhoon's got, like, 40 god-damned dudes in the band. and what's all this about jazz karate chops?
