Win Tickets to Dead Prez!

Are Dead Prez still bigger than hiphop? Let me check... yeah, still bigger.

M1 and stic.man are bringing their fuckacophiphop to Berbati's Pan tomorrow night as part of the Soul'd Out Music Festival and playing their most intimate room in town since that Fez show back in 2003. Hmm, I wonder what they'll have to say about the Aaron Campbell case? Well now you can find out, since we are giving away a pair of tickets to see them in action.

Comment below and explain why you deserve these tickets. The best comment by tonight at 6pm will be raising a fist with DP tomorrow night. Good luck.

I deserve these tickets because... fuck it. Are Dead Prez even still relevant? While I can appreciate someone attempting to bring a Marxist message to the intellectual wasteland that's American hip-hop, I really fucking hate Marxism. Or maybe I just hate college Marxists who keep talking about it. Or maybe I hate black people and this would be a good chance for me to learn an "Important Lesson" about the inherent worth and dignity of every person.

i would like to join the flocks of white college students that are trying to impress their friends and family by pretending they like "black music."

Give me the tickets because I'm a woman and would add some clam to what would probably be a bit of a sausage fest.

I would like the tickets because
1) I wanna know what all the kids are talking about with their hippity hoppity music.
2) I used to watch the Cosby Show and I think I know where these guys are coming from.
3) I'm a huge proponent of the Back to Africa movement and spent a lot of my time at Portland State quoting Marcus Garvey.
4) So I know where these guys are coming from.

I'd like to ask Stic Man why he rapped about “no fish, no candy bars, no cigarettes” but now eats fish. From what I understand, clams are the only water dwelling being that vegans can eat.

I'd like to find out what would happen to me with these tics because I couldn't possibly go to another show this week - it'd seriously be like and musical equivalent of the pie-eating contest in "Stand by me". I know you guys are a bunch of saddists; Make it hurt. Also, not to ride the wave someone else's comment, but I got that hot pink box too. Otherwise I'll just be home, playing chess on my futon while my womb rots.

You should give them to me because, out of all the comments on here so far I'm the only one who wants to go because they actually like Dead Prez.

Randomanimal: If you have such an overloaded social calendar, how did you find time to post comments describing how tickects you don't have might destroy your life? If you win the tix, please sell them and buy yourself a third grade spelling book.
