There's plenty going on in Portland this weekend, but there's also a damn fine-sounding fest down in Salem tomorrow, on campus at
Willamette University. What's a
Wulapalooza, you ask? It's "an annual earth, art and music festival," according to the
Wulapalooza page. There's plenty of day activities and student performers—at least some of which are bound to be excellent, I'd warrant—but come evening, they've put together a lineup that is as good as it gets:
5:30 pm - 6:10 pm Typhoon
6:30 pm - 7:20 pm Japandroids
7:40 pm - 8:40 pm The Dodos
8:40 pm - 9:00 pm Poi Club performs - (student fire dance)
9:00 pm- 10:00 pm Portugal. The Man
That's four excellent bands, plus some fire dancing to boot. How much does it cost? It's FREE. Well, they actually ask that non-students make a suggested donation. It's optional... but how much do they recommend?
Suggested donation: $1 or a can of food for Marion-Polk Food Share
This is the cheapest fun you'll have all weekend.
