Friday, April 30, 2010; Where Music No Longer Plays

Today, Lala announced that they have been bought out by (surprise!) Apple and will discontinue their online services as of May 31st, 2010.

For our sorrows, Lala had promised that all wallets and web song purchases will be converted to iTunes credit. Great news, right? Wrong! When I checked my balance today, I learned that my current 62 web songs=$4.00 iTunes credit. Which equals a mere four songs off of the New Moon soundtrack, which I will now have to buy, since I can no longer stream it on Lala for almost free. HOW WILL I EVER CHOOSE?!?!

In other news, Apple also bought all of our childhood homes and turned them into rubble. However, they managed to contain each of our fondest memories into a series of slideshows, which we can soon buy from them for only $.99 a piece!
