Portland Indie Rock, SPIN Magazine, the Ford Fiesta, and You

If you go anywhere near the vicinity of the old Music Millennium building at 801 NW 23rd Ave between now and August 7, be prepared to get hit hard with a marketing blitz to entice Portlanders in their 20s, 30s, and 40s into buying a Ford Fiesta, with the "Fiesta Lounge":

A striking image, I know. I mention this because Local35 is merchandising the lounge/pop-up shop (read more about that on the MOD blog), and also because part of the shebang is a series of free concerts by local bands. So if you can withstand the pressure to buy a front wheel drive subcompact/supermini car, you'll be treated to the following free shows. Oh, and you can take a free Fiesta taxi from the lounge over to the Doug Fir and other local spots, too. Plan your schedule accordingly:
