News The Flaming Lips Scheduled to Annihilate Eugene

The day has finally arrived. After plenty of anxious waiting, and calling names into the dark waiting for a reply, The Flaming Lips are coming! Sadly, my experience with the Lips thus far has been limited to YouTube clips, which are amazing, but it's time for me to see the real thing. (I have a good excuse, too: I was all of seven years old when the band released The Soft Bulletin.)
It's not a Portland show, but it's close enough. The Flaming Lips will be in in Eugene at the McDonald Theater on Wednesday, September 29. That's the date. Mark your calenders. Burn it into your mind. Write it on everything you own. Tickets are $40 via Ticketswest, and the show is all ages. Now, if you don't mind, it's time for me to concoct a plan to steal a lock of Wayne Coyne's bloody hair to add to the shrine in my closet.
