An Evening with Greg Dulli

By my math, I've interviewed close to 300 musicians while music editor here at the Mercury, and none of them can top Greg Dulli. The former Afghan Whigs frontman (and current singer for Twilight Singers and his "Satanic Everly Brothers" collaboration with Mark Lanengan, the Gutter Twins) is as charismatic and cool as you'd imagine, so it's a safe bet his upcoming "An Evening with Greg Dulli" tour is going to be something special.

Set to debut new Twilight Singers material (according to the press release) and probably a few boozy covers as well (according to me), Dulli will be accompanied by guitarist Dave Rosser and Polyphonic Spree's Rick Nelson while on stage. The Portland date—November 20 at the Doug Fir—will be the final date of a tour that covers five different countries. After the show, Dulli will sit everyone down by the Doug Fir fireplace and regale us with tales about how awesome he is.
