Upcoming / News Portland Folk Festival Announces (Most of) Its Schedule

The Portland Folk Festival has announced (most of) its schedule for the festival weekend of August 19-22. Just a couple TBAs here and there, but everything else looks firmed up. The festival looks to be taking over different parts of town on different days: Thursday, August 19's shows all take place in Northwest Portland (plus a show at the almost-in-NW Ella Street Social Club); Friday, August 20's shows are all in Northeast; Saturday, August 21's shows are in North (plus one at the Wonder Ballroom, just over the line into NE); and Sunday, August 22's shows are in Southeast. The weekend offers some early afternoon shows, including some for the kids. Highlights of the lineup include Thao and Mirah doing a mostly acoustic set, Kimya Dawson, Damien Jurado, Dan Bern, Sea of Bees, Portland Cello Project, and more.
