News Introducing Wild Flag

Oh boy, Anti-Flag is gonna be pissed. P4K is reporting that the flag moniker has been captured by a new supergroup, Wild Flag. Made up of Carrie Brownstein and drummer Janet Weiss from Sleater-Kinney, plus onetime Helium singer (and underrated solo artist) Mary Timony and the Minders' Rebecca Cole. (Does that mean Timony now lives in Portland?)
Wild Flag is currently working on their debut album, but the band has already inked a deal with Merge Records, which is the sort of thing you can do when you have a supergroup. What do they sound like? Hell if I know, but they will make their Portland debut on November 13 at Doug Fir.
