Arcade Fire in Big Sur

Last night I was extremely lucky to be part of the 250 or so fans gathered on the tiny lawn of the Henry Miller Library in lovely Big Sur, CA to witness Arcade Fire play their most intimate show in recent memory. Two Arcade Fire reviews in a single week would be excessive, so I'll skip the lengthy rundown and just say that this event, with its casual house party feel, was nothing short of incredible. That, and Joaquin Phoenix—who was standing right next to me—is a tiny, tiny man.
