Everyone knows "Hell Yeah (Pimp The System)" is a better video than song, but that didn't stop Dead Prez from putting it three (!) times on 2004's Revolutionary But Gangsta. On the remix version, Jay-Z makes an appearance and drops this line: "I ain't slipping through the cracks/So I'm at Portland, Oregon tryin to slip you these raps/The first black in the suburbs."

In his new book Decoded Jay-Z explains that line:

"I chose Portland because it's the whitest place I could think of... The idea is that I get there through my music, not by actually living there. The music gets eveywhere."
