No One Likes Anthrax

In anticipation of this, it's been brought to my attention how much of a weak link Anthrax is on that tour.

No one likes Anthrax*.

* Notable exceptions: Scott Ian's parents. Chuck D. Kelly Bundy.

I had this jean jacket in Jr High that had some patches from my favorite metal bands at the time on it, and at some point a friend of mine gave me a free Anthrax patch. I debated whether I should add that patch to my rad jacket even though I didn't really like Anthrax -- but there was this blank area that needed... something... and I decided that the Anthrax logo is pretty cool looking so I put it on there.

Then I regretted that decision because, as previously mentioned, I didn't really like Anthrax. I felt like a liar and wondered if I would get called out by a REAL Anthrax fan. Of course in retrospect I had nothing to worry about since no such person exists.

I love Anthrax. Since I was 9. Among the Living is one of my favorite records ever

Yeah, I remember people listening to the other three, but it was just not very common that you'd be at a party or driving around with your friends or whatever and Anthrax would be playing. Lotsa Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Sepultura, Testament, Voivod... Not very much Anthrax. Scott Ian sure seemed to turn up on TV a lot, though...
