A new
Weinland tracked popped up today
over on Filter, a preview from their forthcoming untitled fourth album, due out later this year. The track's called "Los Processaur" which sounds like it might be a kind of dinosaur, or perhaps it's just a sequel to the title track of their 2008 album
La Lamentor. It's a slightly different sound for the Portland band—it's the kind of drowsy, slightly depressive, folk-flecked song that we've come to love from them, but it's got flurries of keyboard notes here and there and an insistent slide guitar, and the song is altogether more reliant on pianos and keyboards rather than frontman Adam Shearer's acoustic guitar.

Weinland - "La Processaur"
Weinland are embarking on a tour in March in advance of the unfinished new record, which was/is being recorded at Type Foundry Studios with Adam Selzer. The tour kicks off on March 8 with an awesome-sounding house show in Sisters, Oregon, at the Barn at Pine Meadow Ranch. If you can't make it to that, Weinland returns to Oregon for a Portland show at the Doug Fir on April 2.
