Incomprehensibly, the sample somehow got Neil Young's approval.

Young, who rarely entertains sampling requests, had never before approved the sampling of “Old Man” so it wasn’t it a shock when initial requests were quickly denied. As Redlight King lead singer-songwriter Kaz tells it, "I kept saying, ‘What about Neil? When he hears it he’s going to feel it. I kept putting it out there, finally it got to him and he said yes."
