Is Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr the best or worst band name in music? Oh, who cares? All that matters is the music itself. Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. is comprised of a pair of Detroit studio pros (Joshua Epstein and Daniel Zott) who've combined the sounds of Simon & Garfunkel and the Beach Boys to create folky-tronic harmonies and a sound uniquely their own.

Touring behind their latest, the Horse Power EP, catch the Jr. Jr. tonight—opening for Tapes 'n Tapes at the Doug Fir—before they get too popular to play such a small room, or are sued by the estate of the dead NASCAR icon. Or both.

P.S.
Oh goodness, after writing this we just discovered that the band recently created a Charlie Sheen meets Katy Perry mashup called Sheenage Dream. Please don't hold it against them.
