Brainstorm Plays on a Roof and Releases a New Single

Posted by Ned Lannamann on Wed, Apr 13, 2011 at 12:29 PM

Here's Portland duo Brainstorm performing on a roof for, playing the opening track from their album Battling Giants. On a roof! They are literally the first band to EVER do this.

(Well, except for the B Sharps.)

This was filmed in Echo Park just before a rainstorm, on the band's stop in LA on their way back from SXSW. The posting of the video comes hot on the heels of yesterday's release of the new Brainstorm single, "Flat Earth," which was recorded with members of Archers in Brainstorm's basement over the winter. You can stream and download the single here and here. Here's the B-side, "Forms without a Frame.

Brainstorm perform Wednesday, April 27 at Holocene opening for Zac Nelson, and on Friday, April 29 at Roseland, opening for Portugal. The Man and Telekinesis.
