Blitzen Trapper to Release American Goldwing in September

Posted by Ezra Ace Caraeff on Mon, Jun 20, 2011 at 8:19 AM

Since 2007 the gentlemen of Blitzen Trapper have consistently delivered an album a year, so it's no surprise the local act has just announced the release date for American Goldwing. On September 13th Sub Pop will stock stores with the follow-up recording to Destroyer Of The Void, it'll be the band's sixth LP (that is if you count Field Rexx).

I wonder what the album is about?

With subjects ranging from falling in love to drug running good old boys and the final high school dance, American Goldwing is a freewheeling collection that balances the roughness of rock 'n' roll with fateful heartfelt loss. "It's me trying to evoke a true American nostalgia" explains lead singer and songwriter Eric Earley.

I wish it was about falling in love with drug running. Or motorcycles. Isn't a Goldwing a motorcycle? Why yes, yes it is.
