MP3 Deelay Ceelay - "Little Whispers"

Deelay Ceelay, the ponderous Portland duo of Chris Lael Larson and Delaney Kelly, specialize in psychedelic selections and oft blur the lines of music and art. The project has been nothing if not experimental, leading to innovative albums and arresting live shows, where vibrant visuals synch up with the electro pop beats that the two artists pound out on dueling percussion.

Now, for the past year the two have maintained a somewhat low profile while these painstaking projects are assembled. Thankfully, all that work has produced the group's most exciting and expressive album to date, Sunset Drumsets. Take a listen to "Little Whispers," the second track off the album, and tell me you don't want to hear more. And, already knowing that you do, this is where I point out that Deelay Ceelay is having an insanely awesome album release show August 6th at the Doug Fir Lounge with Atole and Marius Libman. $5 gets you in the door and a copy of Sunset Drumsets in your hand, just like that.
