See Port St. Willow In Private Studio Concert (Video)

Posted by Charlie Swanson on Mon, Aug 1, 2011 at 2:30 PM

Weathervane Music is a virtual think tank of awesome community based music projects. So far, their claim to fame is Shaking Through, a recording studio project that has featured Sharon Van Etten and Twin Sister among others. Now, Weathervane has expanded on that idea with their Private Studio Concerts, a new intimate concert series that also acts as a fundraiser for the non-profit organization.

First up is Port St. Willow, the one man shoegaze outfit of Nick Prinicipe, here joined by Peter Silberman of the Antlers. Drenched in distortion and punctuated by Principe's falsettos, it's a stirring set of music, and a promising start to the series. Along with the above video for Port St. Willow's "Calm," the site has few other selections from the show, check them out now, and keep up with Weathervane Music for more local goodness.
