Typhoon's Kyle Morton and Wild Ones' Danielle Sullivan Cover Bruce Springsteen

Posted by Ned Lannamann on Thu, Aug 11, 2011 at 11:54 AM

This isn't a new video, but it's new to me. Kyle Morton from Typhoon and Danielle Sullivan from Wild Ones try on the Boss for size, and it's a great fit, although someone should definitely rewrite the lyrics of Bruce Springsteen's "Atlantic City" and change them to "Oregon City." It would work so well: Guy loses his job at the paper mill, gotta cross the river and do some favors for a guy in West Linn... "Pedestrian elevators go down, baby, that's a fact/Maybe pedestrian elevators will someday come back... up."

Anyway. This is a great cover. Check it out. (Sullivan's band Wild Ones plays tomorrow night at the Doug Fir, while Typhoon is next scheduled to play a hometown show on September 10, in Pioneer Courthouse Square opening for Explosions in the Sky. Morton is also playing a benefit for the Outdoor School program at Backspace on Sunday, August 21.)
