Roger Waters Brings The Wall to Portland

Holy shitballs. Roger Waters is bringing his Pink Floyd opus to Portland. He's playing the Rose Garden May 22, 2012, recreating the 1979 The Wall album with a full-scale theatrical endeavor. Waters has been playing it around the world—famously, at London's O2 arena, where some old acquaintances stopped by—and now he's bringing it here.

There's a full North American tour, and Portland is one of the lucky stops. You can question the relevance of the old double concept album, and the taste in which Waters has claimed it as a solo project since kicking his Pink Floyd bandmates to the curb, but this should be something worth seeing. Tickets go on sale next Monday, November 7, at LiveNation. They'll cost a fucking fortune.
