Matt Sheehy's Day Job; New Ramona Falls Song

Posted by Ned Lannamann on Mon, Apr 9, 2012 at 9:27 AM

Into the Woods takes us LITERALLY into the woods with the new episode of Don't Quit Your Day Job—marking a return of sorts to the series' original focus, which used to be taking bands out to remote locations in the woods and filming them. In this episode, Matt Sheehy of Lost Lander takes us into the forest for his day job: that of a forester for Northwest Forestry Services. Sheehy talks a little bit about what the job is like and how he got started in that line of work.

Meanwhile, Sheehy's other band Ramona Falls—the band fronted by former Menomena-man Brent Knopf, who also produced Lost Lander's debut DRRT—has a new song up on Spin, which you can check out via this little widget thing. The new Ramona Falls album Prophet comes out May 1, and the band plays a release show at the Doug Fir on Friday, May 18.
