Video: Blouse in Room 205 - "They Always Fly Away"

Posted by Ned Lannamann on Mon, May 21, 2012 at 3:58 PM

Here's a fine video of Blouse performing at Incase's Room 205. As far as I can tell, those barred windows aren't actually there; the Portland group is actually playing in front of a green screen. (See Room 205's site for behind-the-scenes pics.) This is a great-sounding take of Blouse's "They Always Fly Away," a crisp and powerful performance by a band whose live show keeps getting better and better. Stripped of some of the album version's underwater production effects, this version is darker and heavier—both calmingly narcotic and eerily dangerous.
