Final Pickathon Work Party on Saturday

Is that who I think it is?
  • Is that who I think it is?

Let's not mince words: Pickathon is the premiere musical festival in the Northwest.

And what could be better than supporting it with your own two hands? (Or hook, or powerdrill, or whatever.) If the reward of actual, tangible work and homegrown activism wasn't enough, the lovely folks out on Pendarvis Farm are treating work party volunteers to a soiree in the barn that evening.

The proper details:

This coming Saturday 6/2, we will be taking on the last opportunity for forest gardening, campsite building and trail maintenance out at Pendarvis Farm in preparation for this years Pickathon. Sweet Mercy it's already June! The final pre-festival work party gathering before the great build beginning late-July. There's always so much to do in those Pendarvis Woods and we appreciate any and all help you are willing to offer. It's the last big push for site work and we want to make the weekend count. Pendarvis Farm Work Parties are always a good time... usually ending in a good old fashioned later-evening barn party (not for kiddos). Oh, and this weekend it also happens to be Zale's birthday!

Change your plans, tell your friends, and come help us kick some bramble ass as well as kick off another amazing Summer out at the Farm!

***PLEASE NOTE***
We'll look to meet at 9:45am outside the Galaxy Barn (The red one) and head on out to the woods around 10. If you are going to arrive late, don't worry, someone will be at the barn to direct you up to where we're at. We'll break for lunch around 1pm, with some snacks provided. If you have specific dietary needs, you may want to brown bag it.

-Please leave your dog(s) at home.

-Carpooling is strongly encouraged as the fields can be soupy so parking at times can be limited.

-Pendarvis Farm is located at 16581 SE Hagen Rd, Happy Valley Oregon. Check pickathon.com for directions, or map it like the good old days.

-Bring tools (if you have them and o.k. using), gloves, snacks, and water bottle
